Photogrammetry is an extremely versatile non-contactive measurement
technique in which one uses multiple 2-D images of a object of interest to
extract knowledge of where points/targets on that object are in 3-D space.
The 2-D images are taken at a variety of locations/orientations surrounding
(when possible) the object of interest. Mevicon Inc. personnel have
significant experience in applying photogrammetry to a variety of
applications.

0.5 m diameter thin film shells using projected light photogrammetry used by Mevicon
In addition to the development of photogrammetric technologies for
characterization single surface shells in detail, Mevicon Inc. personnel
use it regularly as part of their ongoing research efforts in the area of
thin film membrane structures. Current test support equipment includes 6
MegaPixel SLR digital imagers, supporting test equipment, and
Photomodeler-Pro photogrammetry post processing software. Placed,
projected, and physical feature recognition methods are used to locate and
centroid tracked targets.
